Letter: Pay teachers more, not judges

Utah judges are asking for a pay increase from $166,000 per year to what?

What about teachers who are now “generously” offered $40,000 a year to start and lucky after 20 years to retire at high salary in the 50s?

Teachers who obtain a master’s degree and a specialty certificate have had the same amount of education as a lawyer. This massive disparity shows exactly how Utah feels about education.
